La Calle del Agua

Benjamina Miyar (1888 - 1961) had an uncommon life in her house at la Calle del Agua, in the foothills of Picos de Europa in northern Spain. She was a photographer and clockmaker for more than 40 years and a supporting member of the anti-Franco resistance. Her life and her artwork disappeared after her death. La Calle del Agua is the encounter between two women who share a same place in different times. An outlined portrait that emerges from what is remembered and what has vanished.
