David, alias “Niñato” (kid in Spanish), a young single father who is unemployed and an occasional rapper, lives with his parents, his child, his sister and her own child. In this rather peculiar family life, between getting up, meals and homework, he tries to keep a few minutes for himself and his passion for rhyme and music. In the intimacy of his daily life filmed with tenderness and in total immersion, through habitual gestures and silences, the importance of the family unit is what emerges. From morning until night, in a temporality of the present time rebuilt in the editing, David’s dedication to keeping his dream alive reinforces his tenacity in the education of the children. Oro, the youngest, the one requiring the most attention, is at the heart of the questions of the adults who surround him. Little by little, we see motivation hatch in harmony with the passion of his father. During the observed scenes, in an improvised rap in the shower, we get the sense that David has succeeded, he has passed on what Oro needs to find his own way to grow up.
