La Lanterne Magique invites children and adults to get away from it all during a unique screening made up of film excerpts, past and present, telling us the great story of holidays, in turn humorous, nostalgic or dramatic. From our departure, when we always leave something behind, to our return, full of radiant memories, passing via a thousand and one littleadventures and moments that we would have preferred to last forever or we would rather forget ever happened! An invitation to discover a real saga of free time and relaxation; a saga taken from fictions that bear witness to their era and from documentary films, where we will all undoubtedly recognise ourselves a little, in our postures as ordinary adventurers. This montage of excerpts will be preceded by the premiere of the short film, Vivement les vacances by Marie-Eve Hildbrand and Andreas Fontana as part of the fourth intergenerational workshop organised by La Lanterne Magique, Pro Senectute Vaud and Visions du Réel, with the precious support of the Fondation Leenaards.
