Presented by the Norwegian Film Institute (NFI), this program highlights exceptional Norwegian documentaries, showcasing a selection of works-in-progress during the VdR–Industry days.

The Norwegian Film Institute, operating under the Ministry of Culture, plays a pivotal role in supporting and promoting films, series, and games, driving the creative industry forward. Norwegian documentary filmmaking has for the past ten years been through a remarkable transformation, with its influence extending far beyond national borders. At VdR–Industry, we are excited to spotlight exceptional works-in-progress from Norway, showcasing the creativity and storytelling prowess of both emerging filmmakers and established voices in the field.

  • Each project by a Norwegian filmmaker or a filmmaker based in Norway must be submitted by a production company headquartered in Norway.
  • Producers may submit one or more projects. If they submit multiple projects, each project must come from a different author.
